San Antonio, it was another sunny, hot, and sweaty day… but you turned it out. In true San Antonio fashion, you didn’t let a little heat get in the way of showing your pride.  People of every walk of life came out to celebrate and a beautiful day in Crockett park or the Strip turned into a great night watching our community march to the cheers of San Antonio at large. Our hearts are full and our heads still humming with all that joy you all brought to the table.

Wherever our community comes together in love and joy, your Sisters will be there. This weekend was no exception. Perhaps you saw us applying glitter to the eager glitterati lining up at the Project HOT / UNFIY booth during the day. Or meandering through the crowds and bars, posing for pictures with folks and talking to them about the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and what it is that we do. Perhaps you saw us marching in the parade, closing the night out at the Strip before we headed back off to minister to the crowds at bars like the Annex.

It was a great weekend with many great organizations doing important work in our community getting to strut their stuff. We applaud and thank them all for their hard work, their commitment and devotion, and the results they bring to our community.

To all of you out there: keep fighting the fight, but don’t forget that it’s all about love at the core. Hug that person next to you and let them know that you see them and that they matter. It’s ok to be angry, we have a lot to still be angry about… but love is what it is all about, so love your fellow brothers and sisters with all your heart as we continue our march towards freedom and tolerance in this state and this nation. Carry this pride celebration in your heart and let that joy refill your batteries.

❤️ We love you, San Antonio. ❤️
