I’m Sister Betty Stacty and am a recent addition to the Sisters of San Antonio, Abbey of the Alamo.  I grew up all around the world as a military brat, never landing in one place for very long.  I’ve always had a draw to helping my community and ran into Sisters at our local bars here in San Antonio.  Curiosity got the better of me and I finally took the time to look up who the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are, and why they are who they are.  Once I realized that the Order not only helps our diverse community, but also shares a proclamation of joy and extinguishing that nasty guilt we’re handed for being ourselves, I knew I had to be a part of it.  If you see me out, don’t be shy, come say hi!! And why Betty Stacty you might ask? ‘Cuz I bet ‘he is!!!
